Why are you Transhuman(ist)?

“Humanity, since the beginning of time, has strived to overcome challenges and transcend limitations. To what end? To become better people, and to create a better world. The future will be built and the world will evolve, but unless we build and evolve in ways that reflect our values and ethics, we might not be happy with the outcomes. These outcomes are far too important to leave to chance. Amazing inventions, advances in medicine, and improvements in quality of life came about precisely because we, as humans, did not give up, but rather, fought for what was right. Despite what you may have heard, Transhumanism isn’t about becoming a machine; it’s about becoming a better human being.   Wanting to become a better person is part of being human. Defining ourselves as more than the sum of our limitations is what’s natural. To create a better world, we ourselves must be better. And that is why I am Transhuman.”
